The Family Support Center of South Snohomish County

logoOur Vision: We envision a community that is healthly, safe, and supportive for all community members.

Our Mission: The Family Center supports individuals and families, to promote a healthy, safe, supportive and thriving community through dedicated service and partnerships.

Each year The Family Center of South Snohomish County touches the lives of more than 3000 persons in our community. Our reach is only possible through the determination of our small and dedicated staff, our community partners, and volunteers. Our services are intended for persons across the age span. Some of current offerings include:

  • Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS) – A peer support group for first-time parents of newborns.
  • Caregivers Support Group – a weekly support group for persons caring for a loved one who suffers a medically disabling condition
  • Relatives as Parents Support Services – Services for kinship caregivers who are providing care for relative children
  • Asperger's Support Group – Designed for parents whose children suffer Aspergers Disorder, a spectrum disorder associated with Autism
  • Bottomless Backpack Program – Food goods distributed through four Elementary Schools of the Edmonds School District, making certain children in need have essential food items during weekends and holidays.
  • Latina Support Group – A monthly gathering of Latina mothers with young children assuring they have information and resources for their families
  • Multicultural Playgroup – A weekly gathering of mothers with young children sharing mutual support for the joys and challenges of parenting.
